Dr. Ana Maria López is Professor, Medical Oncology and Integrative Medicine (ABOIM) & Nutritional Sciences, Faculty Fellow of Jefferson Humanities & Health, Sidney Kimmel Medical College; Director, Integrative Oncology and Associate Director, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, NCI Designated; and Senior Advisor, Ambulatory Telehealth for Jefferson Health Telemedicine Program at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. A board-certified Medical Oncologist, Dr. López’s clinical expertise is in women’s malignancies, integrative medicine and oncology, and telehealth. Dr. López is President-Emeritus of the American College of Physicians, the largest medical specialty organization in the U.S. Her strong commitment to health equity is reflected in her work with the American Society of Clinical Oncology as former Chair of the Health Equity Committee and with the Association of American Medical Colleges where she serves as Member of the Steering Committee of the Group of Women in Medicine and Science. Her areas of expertise and research focus include cancer prevention, integrative oncology, and innovations in healthcare. Dr. López was honored in February 2022 with a Lifetime Achievement Award from Al DÍA News Media.
