Resource for Hispanics Seeking Advice on Parenting
Parenting is the most important job in the world, and parents work very hard at raising healthy, happy children. The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) has been conducting and supporting research on parenting for decades to help inform families’ decisions as they navigate through this important job. To ensure that this important research reaches all communities, the NICHD recently published ¿Qué Significa ser Padres? —a Spanish-language booklet that offers parents the tools they need to become more effective, consistent, active, and attentive parents.
In partnership with the National Hispanic Medical Association, the NICHD is reaching out to physicians who provide care to Spanish speaking communities to raise awareness about the availability of this valuable resource. Call the NICHD Information Resource Center at 1–800–370–2943, or visit http://www.nichd.nih.gov/significapadres to order free copies of ¿Qué Significa Ser Padres? to share with your patients.
