OPPORTUNITY TO PROVIDE MEDICAL CARE IN THE ABERDEEN INDIAN HEALTH SERVICE AREA

It is with great enthusiasm that I am writing you to tell you about a new opportunity which may enhance your career as leaders in the medical and public health arena.  As you know, it is part of the mission of NHMA to empower our physicians to be leaders in the world of medicine and in all public spheres which may influence healthcare policy.  Because of this goal, I make every effort to identify opportunities which may serve NHMA physician members in their own quest for career advancement opportunities.   

I am introducing to you now an opportunity to provide quality medical care to Native Americans living in rural and underserved Indian Reservations.  There are thirteen HRSA designated service units within the Aberdeen Indian Health Service area which is spread throughout the magnificent and pristine surroundings of South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota and Nebraska. This is an opportunity not only for your career, but to serve the underserved and enjoy an adventure.
 
Background about the Opportunity and the Organization Providing this Opportunity
The Ponce School of Medicine and Health Sciences (PSM&HS) which is led by President and Dean, Dr. Joxel Garcia, who is formerly the Assistant Secretary for Health for the United States and a four-star admiral in charge of the U.S. Public Health Service and is a friend of NHMA.  The PSM&HS has joined with two independent companies: Aliron International, Inc. and G4i Consulting, Inc, to form a joint venture organization which will provide qualified physicians to serve the Aberdeen Indian Health Services (AAIHS).  The joint venture is named GPA-HRSA, LLC.  GPA stands for the first three initials of the three companies which have partnered together and HRSA stands for Health Resources Services Association (HRSA), the government agency which provides funding to serve the Indian Health Service hospitals.  

Ponce School of Medicine & Health Sciences (PSM&HS) is a higher education institution in Puerto Rico that offers post graduate training in medicine, biomedical sciences, public health and clinical psychology and has extensive experience in clinical services and research.  It has partnered with other higher education institutions locally, nationally and internationally, as well as with community and professional organizations to develop and implement projects aimed at the establishment of high quality healthcare education, research and services.   Aliron is a minority, woman-owned, diversified global company headquartered in Washington, DC that provides a wide range of health care solutions and resources, environmental technology services and innovative medical information technologies for clients internationally.G4i Government Health Services is a medical education and technology company whose employees provide innovative systems products and solutions to Government customers worldwide.
 
The Employment Opportunity and Benefits
The Aberdeen Area Indian Health Services (AAIHS) has great and immediate need for physicians with the following specialties: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatricians, Ob-Gyns, and Emergency Physician Specialists.  Physicians hired by GPA-HRSA, LLC.,  will be provided with a competitive salary, plus housing, per diem per work day, transportation from your home state or territory and within the working area , and medical liability insurance coverage.
